I really am excited to have Abbey MacMunn joining me today on my blog. She is a wonderful new author for me and I guarantee you, her novel, Touched, is full of promise and all you wish for in a new release. So I asked her my usual questions and you can read what she has to tell us here in this post. I absolutely love her cover, don't you? As always the links to buy her book or to get in touch with Abbey and let her know how much you enjoyed her writing are all listed below.
Mary Bradford: Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Abbey MacMunn: Hello, my name is Abbey MacMunn and I live in Hampshire, UK. I’m a wife, mum of four, author, hairdresser, tea drinker, chocolate lover, and sci-fi geek - not necessarily in that order.
MB:What genres do you like to write in?
AM: Mainly paranormal/fantasy romance, but I’ve recently started a contemporary erotic romance.
MB: What is the title of your latest book, (tell us a bit about it)?
AM: It’s called Touched and it’s about a seemingly fated romance between a self-conscious hybrid with a cursed touch and a jaded immortal guardian.
MB: What are you currently working on?
AM: I’m working on the follow on to Touched, book two in the Immortal Ties series, a sci fi romance that I really must finish, and the erotic romance I mentioned earlier.
MB: When and where do you like to write? Have you a favourite place?
AM: I have to squeeze my writing time in between looking after my family and my part-time job. I try to keep Wednesday and Thursday free-ish for writing (although that doesn’t always happen!) and I get up ridiculously early at the weekend to fit in a few hours before everyone else gets up. My favourite place to write is in my lounge with a large mug of tea beside me.
MB: Has there been a defining moment in your career that made you think, ‘Yes, I am a writer’?
AM: I still have to pinch myself that I am actually a writer, but I guess the defining moment was when I received the email that every aspiring writer dreams of – the one that says, ‘We’d like to offer you a contract,’
MB: What is next for you?
AM:I would like to carry on writing and hopefully have more books published.
Now that you know a little about Abbey, why not read the blurb to her novel and whet your appetite, you will not be disappointed.
When inquisitive antique dealer Cami Wilson learns she’s the revered offspring of an immortal mother and a mortal father, it’s not just her hybrid status that has her all flustered. The title comes with her very own super-sexy guardian.
Jaded immortal Joseph Carlisle has only one thing on his mind; his sworn duty to protect the hybrid from those who wish her harm. Anything else would be complicated. That is until they meet.
Chemistry sizzles between them but there’s a problem—the hybrid’s curse. Cami’s touch, skin to skin, proves near fatal to her and all immortals, Joseph included.
But the fated lovers discover her curse is the least of their concerns when a friend’s deadly betrayal threatens to tear them apart forever.
