5 Sentence Fiction.

Each week, Lillie McFerrin shares a writing prompt, challenging writers to use the prompt BUT there is a rule. The fiction piece must be only 5 sentences long. 

This weeks prompt is VILLAINOUS.

Below is my take on this writing prompt, I hope you enjoy.

I never liked him, he was the most obnoxious, detestable, unpleasant, depraved individual I had the misfortune to meet. Living in the apartment below him was hell, he never cared for my sleeping, always playing wild music until sunrise. He constantly borrowed coffee, cigarettes and even pizza, yes, Pizza! Meeting him on the stairwell, he would grunt as he pushed passed me, not caring if he knocked me to the ground.

It did not stop me from falling in love with him.

5 Sentence Fiction

Every week, the Lillie McFerrin website gives a writing prompt, usually accompanied with a photograph. The only rule is it must be 5 sentences long.
I have enjoyed this challenge before but let it slide, now I hope to return to it again this year.

The prompt word for this week is ABANDON
Here is my offering, enjoy.

The smoke covered walls blackened and dirty stood accusingly. I didn't mean for the fire to kill anyone. It was a harmless prank that went wrong. I only wanted to be noticed, no-one ever took notice of me. Now, now I have to abandon my plans that would have made me popular.

St Patrick's Furious!

St. Patrick sat in the Heavenly sky and wept in fury. Many miles he traveled over this emerald isle and had gathered the people together, while banishing snakes and other nasty creatures. But now the country was thrown into recession, the people struggling, while those guilty walked free. How had he overlooked the most obvious of poison that crawled among the good and faithful? 

Tapping him on the shoulder St. Peter spoke wisely, 

"Don't fret Patrick, those bankers and politicians won't get through our Pearly Gates!"

CLUTCH

Her white crystal studded clutch bag was a present from him, the sharp scissors within it hers. The bag was his way of saying sorry. Sorry he was caught cheating she reckoned. She breathed easier now that she had dealt with the issue and clutched the expensive bag closer to her, its sparse contents surprising if anyone should take a look. Still she would love to see his face when he saw the alterations she did to his designer suits before she left him.

This is me having a lousy day! As it is pointed out to me below very nicely I got the prompt wrong. It is angles not angels as I read it. Sorry Lillie, sorry everyone. I'm sure angel's will come up sometime though :)

Angels

His head was throbbing with pain. He needed to get some space so he decided to step out for a few minutes. The choir of angels' were in full practise mode for the next arrival.

 “I must be getting old,” St. Peter muttered quietly. Standing outside the Pearly Gates, he rubbed his forehead for relief.

Forgiven.

 

He wondered what will it hold for him. He never thought with the way he lived his life, it would be open to him. The pain he was suffering now was worth it he reasoned, he deserved it, unlike the guy next to him.The clouds gathered overhead and darkened the afternoon sky. He had no fear, the Man crucified beside him promised him Paradise.

 A Lullaby Whisper

She sang a lullaby each night by the cream cradle. Her soft voice soothing the baby’s crying. Staying until her husband would come to check on the child. Then she would whisper goodnight to her sleeping baby. Fading in to the night before returning to the spirit world.

Blackmail
He placed the gun barrel to the side of her head. He watched her shaking with fear, sweat and tears fell together on her face. Gently he caressed her wet cheek and she sensed his finger on the trigger moving slowly. Click, it was empty. He laughed at her and walked away.
